Page 1 of 5 The National Minimum Data Set for social care (NMDS-SC)
 The NMDS-SC is a workforce planning questionnaire designed to collect workforce information about the social care sector. This information is vital to ensure accurate planning, funding and resourcing for a competent and highly skilled workforce.
To login or create a new NMDS account; go to: www.nmds-sc-online.org.uk  If you already have an account, to update your information you will need your user-name and password. If you do not have this, please contact the NMDS-SC Helpdesk 0845 873 0129
At the CWDP we are committed to assisting social care organisations across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin in completing the NMDS, over 250 organisations have already completed the questionnaire across the region and we thank you for your support in achieving this if you have signed up to date.
From October 2010 information provided on the NMDS-SC is now being used as part of a range of information the Care Quality Commission require in their continous monitoring process of adult social care providers to make sure they are meeting essential standards.
Once you have your data entered the reports that can be produced from NMDS can help to meet outcomes 13 and 14 in the ‘Essential standards of quality and safety’ guide from CQC. Just select ‘reports’ from the main menu on the left of your screen.  Completing the NMDS also deems organisations eligible for TSI funding see Funding
However you MUST have 90% of organisational and worker details completed from the 1st April each year to be able to access funding on an annual basis.

The 'my worker list' report can be very useful for displaying if there are any gaps in your data. Click on 'my worker list' in the reports section as shown above. 'Run Report' then any missing information will be clearly displayed in Red.
